Fieramusca has Dream Weekend at Huntsville Engine "KOC" Finale of 2009.  Taylor and Fieramusca Come From Behind to Capture "KOC" Points Title. Boone,  Allen and Neely Also Crowned as "KOC" Champions.
The Huntsville Engine "King of the Coast" Bracket Series Returned to Gulfport Dragway for the final event of the 2009 season with the Points Championships on the line.
With a great forecast in store for the weekend, Close to 200 racers competed for a share of the $20,000.00 Weekend Purse. More importantly though was the Huntsville Engine
"King of the Coast" Points Championships that were on the line as racers pursued the "KOC" Champions legacy and to add their name to the prestigious
list of "KOC" Champions. Entering the weekend Points leaders Joe Boone of Hattiesburg, MS, Mike Barnett of Columbia, MS, Alex Tritt of Picayune, MS, Brandan Allen
of Poplarville, MS and Landon Neely of Florence, MS would try keep a strangle hold on their number one position in the points chase.

In Pro Electronics Joe Boone entered the weekend holding a three round lead over Bubba Stephenson of Bastrop, LA and a four round lead over current KOC Champion David Reynolds
of Petal, MS. The drama would start early Saturday as Boone discovered potential motor problems during time trials and as expected Boone's "Sundance" Camaro would
continue to fall off in et during eliminations. Boone would go out in the third round of eliminations creating a opening for any racer in the Top 10 of the points Championship to
capitalize and overtake Boone heading into Sunday. That racer to capitalize would be Gene Tanner of Lucedal, MS as Tanner would find himself in his third
KOC final in 2009. Tanner would take his third KOC $5,000 WIN by defeating Alan Jordan of Jackson, MS. With the WIN Tanner would pull within one round of Boone heading into
Sunday. Points contenders Bubba Stephenson and David Reynolds had no luck with closing in on Boone as both would be eliminated in the early rounds of competition.

As the sun would rise Sunday morning, Joe Boone would be forced to compete in a alternate race car after learning the damage to his Camaro would prevent him from competing in the
coziness of his own ride. Boone would look to Jim Blake of Tylertown, MS and his Slip Joint dragster. Blake graciously volunteered to allow Boone to pilot his dragster with
Boone's attempt to capture the points championship. Boone would capture the championship when he advanced to the fourth round of eliminations along with Tanner, Reynolds and
Stephenson all going out by the third round of eliminations. "I am speechless of how the championship unfolded. After talking with Joe Saturday evening concerning the
condition of his car, things were not looking good for Joe. Low and behold Blake allows Joe to compete in his ride en route to the championship. That selfless act just goes to
prove what the "KOC" is all about. Not to mention Joe straps himself in a race car he has never been in and gets to the fifth round of eliminations. Not just any racer
can do that. That is impressive considering what was on the line for Joe," Gaylon Rolison of the "KOC" explained.

The Pro Footbrake class was also on pins and needles as Mike Barnett of Columbia, MS entered the weekend with a three round lead over Scott Taylor of Petal, MS. Taylor would
take a big bite out of the Barnett's points lead and even take the points lead by two rounds as Taylor would advance to the finals. Taylor would take on Timmy Fieramusca of
Kenner, LA. Fieramusca would take the WIN which would be his first "KOC" Pro Footbrake WIN. The WIN for Fieramusca would just be the beginning of a weekend that would
go down in Fieramusca's history book.

Taylor carried his two round lead over Barnett into Sunday hoping to keep his hands clinched on his new points lead. Barnett refused to go down without a battle as Barnett
and Taylor would face off in third round with Taylor piloting his 2nd non points entry. Barnett would defeat Taylor and advance to the forth round in another must win round as
Taylor would match Barnett round for round in his points entry entering the forth round. In that fourth round Barnett would line up against a red hot Timmy Fieramusca as
Fieramusca would take the WIN in a close race as Taylor would then be crowned as the 2009 "KOC" Pro Footbrake Points Champion.

In Sunday's Pro Footbrake Final Timmy Fieramusca would reach his second final of the weekend. Fieramusca would take on 2009 Champion Mike Cameron of Petal, MS as Cameron
would take the WIN. Taylor was the lone Semi-Finalists. "I told everyone I knew that it was a toss up of who would WIN the Pro Footbrake Championship. Scott and Mike are two
of the best racers off the bottom bulb on the Gulf Coast. Both of them have the ability to accumulate a bunch of points (round wins) in a short amount of time. I wish both of
them could have won the Championship but that is not the case. These points title's always comes down to the final race at the final event," Rolison commented.

The closest points battle in the 2009 "KOC" Championship points chase was the Jr. Dragster 13-17 division. Heading into the season finale Reigning and Two-Time Jr.
Dragster Champion Timmy Fieramusca of Kenner, LA held a slim one round lead over Alex Tritt of Picayune, MS. Kristen Johnson of Jackson, MS Joe Hidalgo III of Westwego, LA and
Destin Bailey of Marrero, LA were all within striking distance.

As the race unfolded on Saturday Fieramusca would go out in the second round of competition as Fieramusca's quest to WIN three Jr. Dragster Championships seemed to be
slipping away. Tritt and Hidalgo would take advantage of the opportunity and face each other in Saturday's final with Hidalgo taking the WIN. With the R/U finish Tritt would
carry a two round lead over Fieramusca in the season finale race Sunday. Hidalgo and Johnson headed into Sunday well within striking distance for the title. "Heading
into Sunday you could see how bad all four wanted that championship as each young racers had put fourth great effort all season long," Rolison explained.

When the racing action kicked off Sunday the championship would be decided in the third round as Tritt would go out in the third round. With Johnson and Hidalgo already
eliminated from title contention, Fieramucsa would have to win the third round to tie Tritt in the points. Fieramusca would once again rise to the occasion by winning that
round and earning the bye run in the fourth round and clinch his third straight Jr. Dragster 13-17 Championship. "That kid ,Fieramusca, just simply amazes me. He just
has that calm type of confidence. No matter what the situation is he seems rely on his confidence to get the job done. He never gets rattled. Three finals in one weekend is
unheard of as I am lost for words," Rolison commented.

On the other side of the table Tritt would once again come up short in the points championship chase. "Alex along with his mom and dad were all disappointed. Alex has
come close so many times. After the race I walked into the Tritt motor home to console Alex and gave him big hug and told him that I was extremely proud of him.," Rolison
stated. "All four racers Fieramusca, Tritt, Hidalgo and Johnson are champions of life. Each displays what a racer should be on and off the track. They all come from great
families who I have tremendous amounts of respect for," Rolison concluded.

The Jr. Dragster 8&9 Division would either crown Jackson Core of Crowley, LA as repeat "KOC" Champion or "KOC" newcomer and second generation driver Landon
Neely of Florence, MS. Entering the weekend Neely held a slim two round lead over Core. Neely would stretch his lead heading into Sunday's race as Neely would advance to the
finals on Saturday taking on Trevor Palmisano of Belle Chase, LA with Palmisano taking the WIN. With the WIN Palmisano would still have chance at the also.

The Championship would ultimately be decided in Round 1 Sunday morning as Core drew Neely. Core took a reaction time advantage to the finish line but could not take win as
both would go under their dial with Core going under more. With that first round win Neely would be the newly crowned 2009 Jr. Dragster 8&9 Points Champion. Core would go on
to WIN Sunday's event falling a few rounds short of the title. "Those two kids, Landon and Jackson, have got to be the nicest kids walking the planet. They are always
smiling no matter what. I am going to start calling each Smiley 1 and Smiley 2. Congrats to Landon on his championship as it was well deserved and I am sure he already thinking
about the 2010 championship," Rolison said.

The Jr. Dragster 10-12 Championship was the only points chase that seemed to be wrapped up. If is wasn't Brandan Allen made sure it was as Allen went to his first of two finals
of the weekend Saturday taking on Trent Evans of Belle Chase, LA. Allen took the WIN in the final en route to his first "KOC" Championship. To add icing to the cake
Allen advanced to the final Sunday taking on team member of Double Trouble racing Saleena Bailey of Marrero, LA. Saleena once again showed her talents with a absolute perfect
reaction time in the final taking the WIN. "Brandan just downright dominated the class in the middle of the year rattling off 4 finals in a row. That midseason run was
the catalyst to his Championship here in 2009. I am sure Mom, Dad and brother are proud of him as I am," Rolison stated.

Other racing action during the weekend had AJ Ashe of Gulfport, MS defeated Alan Lowery of Cantontment, FL in the $2,000.00 Door Car Shootout. Russ Ford of Petal, MS was the lone
Semi-Finalists.

Also the Great American $50,000.00 Bracket Race held a 16 Car Field Gambler's Race in which the WINNER and R/U would earn weekend entries to the $50,000.00 Great American
Bracket Race 2010 Memorial Day Weekend at No Problem Raceway Park in Belle Rose, LA. In addition the WINNER would also receive the $300 buyback in the $50,000 Main Event. In
that Final Charlie Coats of Laurel, MS took the WIN over Chase Gatwood of Chickasaw, AL.

"The weekend was a great success. Tons of racecars, mild weather and a great facility. Combine those three and a great weekend of racing breaks out. The 2009 season
seemed to fly by but it was the best yet as the series continues to grow and grow. I continue to tell everyone that the "KOC" Series is a Series that belongs to the
racers as the staff of the "KOC" is just there to simply to navigate the coarse," Rolison stated. "We have already started planning the 2010 season with
intentions of making it the best "KOC" Ever. I want to take the time to thank the entire KOC staff for their contribution to the "KOC". They are the reason
the "KOC" operates as smoothly as it does," Rolison concluded.

The "KOC" thanks Gulfport Dragway and it's staff for it's share of responsibility in making the "KOC" the best bracket series in the South.
"We might not pay out the most money; but sometimes it is not all about the money. It is about family and developing relationships with racers that will last for an
eternity. If you measure a bracket series based on the class of racers that attend this series, the "KOC" is at the top of the heap. BAR NONE AND PUT A STAMP ON
IT!!!!!!!

The "KOC" Series is never short in recognizing it's sponsors especially "KOC" title sponsor Huntsville Engine and Performance. "The guys at
Huntsville Engine have supported the KOC for three years now and we are grateful for that. They make the "KOC" Series possible," Rolison stated. Rolison also
thanked BTE, Figspeed.com, Nitro-Plate, J-Mark RaceCars, Wade's Tire Barn and dragcoverage.com for their support.

The 2010 Huntsville Engine "KOC" Season Kick-Off is slated for February 20 & 21 at Gulfport Dragway in Gulfport, MS.
